L.P: Evaluation for Lonely Boy Group music video

We created a music video to the track 'Lonely Boy' by The Black Keys, the genre of this track is alternative rock and we reflected this genre by using instruments in our video.
My group filmed and edited from 1.38 seconds to 2.26 seconds and we decide to do this part of the video with a narrative theme, where we looked at the lyrics and told a story of a boy writing a note to a girl who he admires, she then rejects him and at the end throws the note in the bin. The boy then goes up to the bin to re collect his note and opens it, showing "I'm a Lonely Boy" written across the piece of paper. For the real thing I would advise myself to take as many shots as possible to make sure we have the right ones, and also to keep continuity the same by keeping everything in the shot the same, for example we made the mistake of dropping a pencil in shot. We used a range of techniques:

Camera
We made sure we used a few different shot types, for example there is a pan shot when the teacher storms out the room watching as she goes through the door. Also there is a still shot at about 1.51 seconds which is nicely framed because the admired girl can be seen on the right side and behind her is a girl laughing and pointing.

Mise-en-scene
We used normal school clothes as it was set in a school, for the costume. For the teachers costume, we found an old teaching cape which allowed the audience to understand that this was a teacher, and a big ruler that represented a cane to portray the teacher as being in charge. The location further reinforces the situation the characters are in because it was set at school, as it was set in a detention room.

Editing
We used a medium speed cutting-rate as we choose to do a narrative scene, this meant that the consumers would be focusing on the story and not the action. However, we did need to keep it short and snappy so the cutting rate wasn't really slow either.
